This is a one-person site. I am Prathik, I picked every song on it, and there is a real email address at the bottom of this page.
I built this because the songs that play in an Indian theka - the country liquor shop, the grille, the transistor behind the counter - are some of the best-loved music in the country, and nobody had made a place to just put them on. No account, no app, no queue to build. Press play and the room does the rest.
Write to me if you run a bar and want this on a screen, if I have credited a song wrong, if there is one missing that you cannot believe is missing, or if you want to tell me about a theka you drink at. The last one is my favourite kind of email. If you hold rights to something here and want it taken down, write to the same address and it will come down - no argument and no forms. [email protected]. Credit corrections are welcome too - Haryanvi and Bhojpuri songs are widely misattributed even in the mainstream press, and this site would rather be corrected than be wrong about what plays in a daru bar.
